Providing outstanding management services to developers and residents alike for thirty years

About us

Castleford Management was set up in 1990 as an independent property management company, specialising in the management and maintenance of blocks of flats in the Dorset and Hampshire area. Castleford’s offices were based in the centre of Poole. When the owner of Castleford Management retired in 2012, the company was purchased by Qdime Limited, a successful property management business whose headquarters are based in Buckinghamshire.

When purchasing Castleford Management, Qdime Limited wanted to retain the strength of Castleford being a local property management company, but also saw opportunities to improve some of the support services by providing them centrally, in a way that would also provide value for money to customers.

The actual Property Management service is still based locally in Poole, but other support functions are based centrally, and provide support to the whole of the Qdime Group. But as all Qdime companies share a group telephone system, it’s easy to get hold of the right person by telephoning a local rate telephone number or by email.

“Our vision is to be the best at what we do and to be different in our approach.”

We want to be known for delivering service that exceeds customer expectations, particularly in our communication, and for us to make a difference in developing our staff, customers and the communities in which we operate. We are innovative and pro-active, with a sprinkling of originality but we still listen to our clients’ needs, looking for those ‘attention to detail’ items that can enhance our service and add value.

We are committed to establishing The Qdime Group of companies as an innovative, successful and profitable provider of support services to the private residential property sector. We are not motivated by the size of the group, for us it’s all about how we provide the best communication and service, how we obtain best value for money and how we excite customers by proactively managing their homes.

To achieve this we focus on our people, managing and developing them and adding new expertise whenever needed so that we can exceed your expectations.

Our strong service culture and ‘delivery philosophy’ puts people at the core of everything we do. We believe our personal approach is key to our success. Our culture is one of empowerment, ownership and honesty. We achieve this through supportive management, training and development combined with efficient operational systems and processes. Although you will usually have one primary point of contact, they will be supported by a talented team of specialists who are also at your disposal.

Property management requires close working relationships with our clients, and mutual respect; we have a common goal and it’s only by working together that you achieve results.

We want our clients to receive excellent service and to feel valued and important – because we recognise that you always have a choice.

In fulfilling our responsibilities, Castleford will endeavour to detail precisely what tasks need to be undertaken, by whom and in what timescale. In doing so, we will strive to:

PaulMaintenance Supervisor
I am based directly on site at a development also managing a number of other properties in the region. My daily duties mainly involve liaison with contractors and residents, dealing with issues relating to the buildings and grounds as and when they arise, completing maintenance tasks whilst ensuring each site is maintained to the highest standard. A typical day might include reporting any faults, meeting on site with contractors and testing of emergency lights. I also attend regular residents’ meetings and complete Health, Safety and Fire Risk Assessments.
